The Crowd Thought It Was a Joke… Then He Grew Feathers

The crowd buzzed with anticipation as the spotlight hit center stage. The host’s voice echoed:
“Next up, we have Arion, the man of mystery and muscle!”

From behind the curtains stepped a tall, muscular man, his chest broad, arms sculpted like marble. He wore a black sleeveless cloak, eyes sharp and strangely fierce. Whispers ran through the audience—he was no ordinary performer.

The music began, low and haunting. Arion stood still. Then, with a sudden motion, he ripped off the cloak and spread his arms wide. Feathers burst from his shoulders. His fingers stretched and twisted, becoming talons. Gasps filled the room.

In seconds, his upper body was no longer human. His chest had turned to a majestic spread of feathers, his face elongated into a golden beak, eyes glowing with the fire of the skies. He flapped once—twice—and a wind swept across the room.

Now half-eagle, half-man, Arion lifted from the ground, hovering over the stunned audience.

And then, with a blinding flash of light, the transformation completed. The human form disappeared, replaced by a full, magnificent eagle with a wingspan that touched both sides of the stage. He let out a piercing cry, circling above, proud and free.
