Trump Picks Fox News Host Mark Levin For Key Post

On Thursday, President Donald Trump appointed Fox News host Mark Levin and former Fox News contributor Bo Dietl to his Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed pride in the establishment of his restructured HSAC, which he described as consisting of top experts who are highly regarded in their respective fields.

He remarked, “It is a significant honor to serve on HSAC, and I am confident that the new members, including South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will excel in their roles. Under the leadership of Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, HSAC will diligently work on formulating new policies and strategies aimed at securing our borders, deporting illegal criminal elements, halting the influx of fentanyl and other illicit drugs that threaten our citizens, and ultimately MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!” Levin, who hosts a weekend show on Fox and a daily syndicated radio program, expressed his gratitude for the appointment on social media, stating, “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”

In addition, Levin will remain active in broadcasting, having recently signed a significant new contract with Cumulus Media in February. This agreement ensures his presence on air for “multiple years” and introduces a new program to his already extensive lineup. Levin, 66, has been affiliated with Cumulus Media and Westwood One since 2007. The new contract includes the development and hosting of his first original content podcast series, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

Levin commented, “This has been my radio home for 23 years, and I am more excited than ever, especially during these tumultuous and historic times, to continue my relationship with my exceptional broadcast partners for many years to come.” Collin Jones, president of Westwood One and executive vice president of Cumulus Media, remarked, “Mark is a powerful and influential voice with an incredible ability to establish strong relationships with…”The Examiner further remarked: “Levin has been an essential voice for years. As a legal scholar and former chief of staff at the Justice Department during the Reagan administration, he offers clear and comprehensible analyses on significant issues, ranging from the legal challenges faced by former President Donald Trump to the controversies surrounding President Biden. He is also a prominent critic of the liberal media, having long highlighted attempts to obscure President Joe Biden’s cognitive shortcomings, which the media eventually acknowledged following last Thursday’s presidential debate.” The Mark Levin Show is broadcast weekly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. across nearly 400 radio affiliates, reaching all ten major metropolitan areas and 21 of the top 25 markets. The Mark Levin Audio Rewind, a daily podcast, is available Monday through Friday on most major podcast platforms.

In addition, a weekend podcast titled The Best of Mark Levin summarizes the week’s most significant stories. On Saturdays, he hosts the popular program “Life, Liberty, and Levin” on Fox. “I recognize my duty to serve the millions of patriotic Americans in my audience. I feel fortunate to do what I do, and I am dedicated each day to providing thorough analyses of current events, along with historical context, commentary, and my in-depth insights to deliver the highest quality broadcasting possible to our many listeners,” stated Levin, who is also a member of the Radio Hall of Fame.

In December, Levin transitioned to the prime time Saturday Night 8 PM slot on Fox News, enhancing his visibility and effectively doubling his previous schedule, which now includes a Sunday 8 PM slot.
