Power, arrogance, or just pure desperation?
Martin Hyde, a Congressional Candidate from Sarasota, Florida, found himself in serious trouble after being pulled over for speeding and using his phone while driving.
Instead of owning up to it, Hyde took a shocking route — he told the officer that giving him a ticket would be a “career-ending mistake” for her.
And he didn’t stop there. He demanded that she call the mayor and other high-ranking officials to make the ticket disappear.
The bodycam footage has exploded online, and viewers everywhere are asking the same question:
Did he really think this would work?
Or did he just end his own political career with one reckless move?
