Burn Survivor Reunites with Nurse Who Cared for Her 38 Years Ago
In 1977, 3-month-old Amanda Scarpinati was hospitalized with third-degree burns after falling into a humidifier. A black-and-white photo captured a young nurse comforting herβa photo Amanda cherished through years of surgeries and bullying.For decades, Amanda dreamed of finding the nurse. She remembered Amanda as a calm, trusting baby and still had the photos herself.
