Dorothy Dawson, an elderly 80-year-old lady, filed for divorce from her husband because he had deceived her for ten years by pretending to be deaf and mute.
It was only after a decade that she discovered her husband, Barry, 84, could hear perfectly well and had only pretended to be deaf and mute to avoid listening to her nonsense.
According to the divorce documents, Barry hadn’t said a single word during the entire ten years. In order to communicate with him, Dorothy had to learn sign language—a language she struggled to learn over the course of two years.
But just as she finally learned sign language, Barry suddenly developed another issue—he claimed he couldn’t see well. 🤣
