Tiger Woods teed off with former President Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on Sunday, just days before his return to the PGA Tour at Torrey Pines—his first official event since The Open.
Woods, who has eight career wins at Torrey Pines, is set to compete in next week’s Genesis Invitational, moved from Riviera Country Club to Torrey’s South Course due to the Palisades fire. He hasn’t completed a 72-hole tournament since the 2024 Masters. Trump, who is attending the Super Bowl in New Orleans later Sunday, recently met with PGA Tour leaders about negotiations with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
Though Woods wasn’t officially listed, reports indicate his private jet was in Washington during the talks.
Woods also shared the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, 80. “She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter,” he said. Trump offered condolences, calling her “an amazing influence on Tiger.”

The two share a long-standing friendship—Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.
