Whiskers and Wishes

Lila was a curious little girl, always chasing butterflies and asking too many questions. One cloudy afternoon, she found a silver collar lying in the grass. It shimmered strangely. A tiny tag read: “One wish. One change.”

She giggled and slipped it around her neck.
“I wish I could be a cat!” she whispered.

The wind stirred. Her hands shrank. Her feet softened into paws. Her laugh turned into a purr. Within seconds, Lila was no longer a girl—she was a small, sleek gray cat with bright green eyes.

She stretched, flicked her tail, and darted up a tree, wild and free.

Some say they still see her in the neighborhood—chasing leaves, napping in windows, and watching the world with quiet, feline curiosity.
