The Changing Room Secret

Mark was in the fitting room at a downtown clothing store, trying on a new shirt his wife had suggested. He had taken it off, standing bare-chested in front of the mirror, when the curtain suddenly slid open.

“Julia?” he said, startled.

It was his wife’s best friend.

Before he could react, she stepped in, closed the curtain behind her, and smiled strangely. Without a word, she leaned in and kissed his stomach. Then—just as quickly—she snapped a photo with her phone.

“What are you doing?!” Mark stepped back, shocked.

But she was already halfway out of the changing room.

Later that evening, his wife stood silently in the living room, phone in hand, her eyes cold.

The message read:
“Look what your husband let me do today.”

Mark knew then—truth or lie, it would never be the same.
